In Mac OS Sierra, turn off confirmation dialog on CMD-OPT-DEL of a file?

iMore Question

In Yosemite I was able to delete a file without confirmation with CMD-OPT-DEL. Now with Sierra I get a confirmation dialog the same as CMD-DEL. This happens on local and shared drives. Any way to turn off this dialog box?

Welcome to iMore! I don't think there's a way to disable the confirmation dialogue. At least I don't see a way.

After quite a bit of searching, it looks like Apple changed the way this keyboard shortcut works in El Capitan and continued it in Sierra. This key command is now officially "delete immediately" with a warning dialog where in Yosemite and earlier it was a hidden shortcut that really deleted immediately without a dialog confirmation. I hoped there was a way to go back to previous, but I have found nothing. I have now made an automator action/service and added a custom key command to activate this function.
