Can you have a song in the background of a iMovie start after is certain slide

Not sure what you mean about certain slide but you can split the Audio between to inputs

I’m not sure how to say this but are you able to split music in between Point A (no music) point B (begin the song). My movie is about three minutes long. I don’t want the song to start until after some video I have in my movie (which is about 30 seconds after it starts)

You can. Tap on the audio track you’ve added. It is added by default as “background” audio and the track will be green colored. Then select “foreground” and the track will change to blue. Now you can move the track or you can trim its’ start and end points by tapping on the audio track and then dragging the yellow handles on either end just as you would trim a video clip.
