Is there a way to add a title or description to the movie...

for example:

My trip to the atlanta zoo!

Yup! Just double tap the clip you want to add a title to in the timeline.

The only problem I have with putting the title on the clip is I can't find a way to tell the title to display for x number of seconds. It's for the entire clip. Have you found a way to set the time for title or split a clip?

Yup. Put the clip in twice. Put the title on the first clip and then cut that clip down to the number of seconds you want to use it.
