iMore app showing continuous increase in notifications on iPad

I'm not sure how to describe it, but every time I get a notification from the iMore forums through the app, it tell me I have, let's say 43 notifications. When I check, there are only three new comments within the topics I subscribe to. When I check the notifications and leave the app, there is no more badge number. Which would indicate that I have checked all of the new comments that have been left on the topics that I have subscribed to. However, when I get more notifications, let's say I get 6 more this time. The badge count will say 49 notifications. But when I go in, I only see 6. Is this happening to anyone else? I hope this makes sense.

I thought after the last update it would have been fixed, but nope. Still the problem persists.

No issues for me. Maybe try deleting and reinstalling the app?
