iMessages for Mountain Lion help

Hello all!

I have been using the iMessages beta since it was released. I had no problems syncing my Apple ID (for iMessages) and several of my email addresses to use their chat functions. Since the full version of Mountain Lion was released, I've been having some issues chatting with my contacts. I can't open the "Buddy List" like I was able to do in the beta version which shows who is online and who's not. Now I'm trying to guess and it's extremely difficult and frustrating to chat with my friends and business contacts. Does anyone know how to open the buddy list in the full version or where I could go to get some helpful tips on using this program? I'm at a total loss right now.

Will CMD + 1 while in the messages app bring it up for you?
