iMessage problems

Hey guys. Got a new number and, although it states that it has been activated, my friends can't text me. Can u please spam me with some messages here? Maybe it only works from some carriers i dunno..... ty

We can't spam your number with messages but we can try to help you troubleshoot the problem. When you say "texts" are you referring to iMessages, SMS, or both? What carrier are you with?

Did you sign in to iMessage and Facetime?

Yeah sorry it's ok. Apparently somehow the number belonged to someone before and i called my carrier and they solved it Works now. Still..surprised to see that >.>

I kinda have the same problem, I want to send a message to someone and it won't let me hit the send, I am on imessage.

Go to settings > messages > send & receive and make sure you cell number is checked.
