imessage on ipad

Hi, I switched imessage off on both my phone and my ipad two days ago. When I turned them both back on, I can only get them via my phone. My outgoing written message is showing on my ipad but no incomming message. I have tried rebooting both devices and have send and recieve set to three devices on both phone and ipad (two email adresses and phone number) but can you help please?

Try toggling iMessage on and off on the iPad only. This has worked for me when this happens.
