Mark should be the last person talking about personal data security.

At this point, he should focus more on his Metaverse and leaving the ranting for actual users.

He then goes on to mention that WhatsApp can also offer disappearing messages when needed,

But why would you want messages to disappear, unless you’re hiding something?

Things that make you go “hmmmmmm”.

iMessage does offer end to end encryption . I don’t think he knows what he is talking about.

Didn’t realize WhatsApp and meta were afraid of iMessage. Guess more and more iPhone users are defaulting to iMessage.

Both are secure. At some point it becomes overkill.

WhatsApp is very popular outside the U.S., and since Apple isn’t in a hurry to support RCS of which Meta and Google are pushing way too hard for it to do in order to slow the defections from Android to the IPhone, they are going to continue to make deceptive claims against Apple and its messaging service.

I would be on iMessage full time, were it not that WhatsApp started was there first in Europe. It was free from the get go, whereas iMessage is an extension to SMS and still confuses the **** out of people with its green and blue clouds.
You don’t have that issue WhatsApp.
Apart from above, the ratio people with iPhone/ non-iPhone is much different than in the US.

Therefore it won’t happen very soon that people leave WhatsApp for iMessage.

Having said that, I don’t understand why Zuckerberg is even making these kind of comments on iMessage.

I know that my cousin uses WhatsApp when any of her family is traveling abroad. All of her children have studied abroad, and it gave her peace of mind to be able to communicate with them. I used it briefly several years ago when my department employed a student from India. He wanted to be able to communicate when he was home for winter/summer breaks. I removed it years ago, and doubt that I'll ever use it again. But, never say never! LOL! I reluctantly use Facebook Messenger, and when I do it's only with people I know, and I never open any links or attachments on FB Messenger.

Zuckerberg keeps poking apple, but If apple releases iMessage for android or iPhone marketshare surpasses 55% in Europe.

Then I can see WhatsApp turning into the new bbm. Blackberry messenger also once had a monopoly in messaging, until they didn’t.

I use iMessage for everything! My father talks with family over in Italy thru iMessage as well. The only time I use what’s app is to chat with a cousin out in Ireland, she’s my only contact on the app 🫠

iMessage is easy and effortless for any iPhone user. That is enough (and has proven to be). …it pulled me back to the iPhone.

Zuckyboy, feels that it is important to let the world know that what he wants is important, nobody told him that even his fans don ‘t care.
