Why can't I iMessage some users that are on the same network as me and others work fine?

iMessage only works if the person is using an iOS device like an iPhone, iPod, or iPad, or a Mac. They must have iMessage turned on and you must have the phone number and/or email address they use for iMessage saved to contact them.

It won't work to other operating systems and it won't work if they don't have it on and associated with a contact you have. Being on the same carrier network means nothing for iMessage.

Thank you for lobbing that response back.

If I've verified my contact has me as a contact with my phone number in his iPhone and iMessage turned on. Yet I can't get a message out to him.

Two of my friends have iPhones & about 75% of the messages I send them go as text & not iMessages.
One's on VZ & one's on AT&T.
This does not happen to any of my other contacts.
Go figure.
Good Luck

If you got all that, I don't think we can help. Only other thing I can recommend is apple store.
