This has been happening to me for a while now. When I try to upload an image in a post using the tool it shows an exclamation mark as if the image didn't upload properly. When I submit the post though the image is attached. It doesn't show before I post with tags or anything.

When it first started happening I tried.a tiny file, same result. I logged off and logged back in to the forums, same result. I'm on a Mac using Safari.

IP are you using the Advanced button to upload an image or the little image icon to the left of the video icon on the bar that has the font size, Color, etc? More info on how you are doing it.

I use the little image button next to the video on the lower bar. It's 5th from the right. Choose from computer browse to my files and then hit upload.

Well that is the way I do it also and have never had the issue with a red exclamation mark. I just see a blur bar uploading the photo and embed it into the editor. I would say that even though you are getting it but your photo is being uploaded I would not worry about it too much. Just for the heck of it you can try it the other way using the advanced button to see if you get the same results.

OK I'll try the advanced button and let you know. It's just annoying because I don't get the embed in the editor so I can't move the location or anything.

If you can post screenshots and let us know what browser(s) you are trying from, that will help us diagnose and fix the problem as well.

here are the screen captures of what happens
1. open the image upload tool and choose a file
you can see my file is under 1MB
2. Click upload files and right when it gets to the end I get an exclamation
I can click clear list or close the box and it will still have the same effect
3. there is no image attached in the message, I added "test" because it can't be posted without some text
4. When I post to the thread the image is attached

sorry the order is messed up but without seeing the attached images I can't do anything about it.

So although I had the same issue on Firefox I don't have the issue in Chrome. So there is some issue with the way the browsers are handling the plugin. Just thought I'd chime in it's not a big deal I'll just use Chrome from now on for forum stuff.

Actually now that I'm thinking on this... there ARE file size limits set for all file types here on the forums. What happens when you try and upload a very small image? (less than 100kb)... any red exclamation point in that case?
