If I upgrade to iOS 9.2, will my I miss the features associated with iOS 9.1?

I'm curious.... I have my 6S Plus 1 week and the ios is 9.0.2
Now the phone wants to update to 9.2
And now the question: will the phone be left without the 9.1 features if it skips the previous update and goes directly to 9.2?

P.S. Are all new Iphones shipped with 9.0.2 or does that mean that i got a "older" one?

No. The latest version will include all previous updates.

It may also depend on when you purchased the iPhone. When I purchased my iPhone 6S Plus, it came pre-loaded with iOS 9.1.

Re: Question about update.

Another vote for "it's safe to update". Even if you skip, the latest update will include items from all previous for just that reason.
