Will the phone put back my apps after the reset? Messages?

Do you mean a restore? A reset won't affect your screen at all. A restore will. If you don't have a back up, you will need to start from scratch.

I had backup in iCloud. Now after reset it says I do t have one ?? I'm looking a way to get my 300 contacts back.....
