If I buy an iPhone in China, will the set up be different?

If I buy an iPhone in China, will the set up be different? I have read in various sites about people complaining that their iPhone is in Chinese. I thought you are to choose your language of choice during setup. Another thing is that if I buy this iPhone in China and I set it up using English, will the apps be in English or Chinese? Thank you

China adds a lot of restrictions on the iPhone. I don't think you can have Google. You may be able to set the language. Not sure about the apps. If they come from the Chinese app store, they may be in Chinese. Hopefully someone else will know more than I about this.

Whatever language you select during setup will be the default language throughout the device. It really doesn’t matter where you purchased the device, in that regard. As already been stated, some things may not be allowed while you’re in China, but those restrictions may be lifted outside of that particular country, but I can’t say for certain.
