iCloud back up

I set up an icloud account and tried backing up my phone. It shows that it backed up on my phone (in storage manager) and on the icloud website BUT it says "Last Back Up - Never"

Reboot your device. Afterwards, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup and then scroll down to "Backup Now". It should state when you last backed up your device. If it still says "Never", tap on "Backup Now".

You do have WiFi correct?

iCloud automatically backs up your device over Wi-Fi every day while it’s turned on, locked, and connected to a power source.

Just to confirm:
-Your iPhone was plugged in, charging.
-wifi was on
-lock screen was on (device was locked, needing a passcode to open it)

Also, under Settings-iCloud-Storage and Back Up, iCloud Backup is toggled to ON ?
