Icloud/Apple id

My wife is getting an iPhone and I know I can link it to my account with iTunes and setup as new device. Can she have a separate iCloud account so she doesn't get my contacts cluttering up her phone?
Or is there a way to link her phone to iTunes and keep our contacts separate.
Sorry if this has been answered but search in tapatalk always gives me a search of the web not just TiPB.

When she activates her phone, just have her create her own iCloud account and then use your iTunes account.
