I want to know How do I tether my Mac Mini to my I pad

I have an IPad. I want to know how to link my Home WiFi signal to my ipad and take my home signal with me on my ipad with using the data package?

While at home you can connect your iPad to the home WiFi, but once out of range from your home WiFi you'll want to use your iPad's data package; or you could tether your iPad to your smartphone and connect to the internet that way.
