I upgraded to iTunes 12 - no changes mean I cannot restore from my PC, then how can I restore to my iPad?

I upgraded to itunes 12 - no changes mean I cannot restore from my PC.

I have an ipad 4. I upgraded my windows7 pc to itunes 12. I would like to restore my device from my last backup which I made with previous itunes version.

I cannot see where to back up from. Itunes seems to have changed completely. Please help or advise me where to look for help. I am getting very frustrated - how come apple change things without links on the update.

If you have an iCloud back-up you could always restore to that... with regard to iTunes version updates and not being able to restore from a backup made with a previous version... it is what it is. Short of restoring your Windows computer with a back-up made prior to updating iTunes, there's not really anything you can do.
