I see ghost emails on iOS mail app

I'm seeing ghost emails on my native mail app. I've tried removing/ re-adding my account on to mail app. Still the issue is seen. Help pls

Let me guess? It happens only with an Hotmail account?
I have the same problem too. I simply gave up.

Nope. It's happening on my gmail account. I've tried force quit the app, force restart iPhone. Still issue occurs.

I've been having an issue with ghost emails with both Outlook and Gmail. I'll delete an email and it will reappear in my inbox. When I go to delete it again I will get an alert saying unable to move message. Only fix I have found so far is to go into Settings-->Mail-->Account and toggle off the mail switch for the affected account. Then turn it back on. Once it resyncs all the ghost messages are gone. Seems like I have to do it every couple of weeks.
