I lost custom ringtones after updating to iOS9 on iPhone 5s, how can I get them back?

lost custom ringtones after updating to iOS9 on iPhone 5s

Under My Device, my Tones are still there, but it will not let me sync nor can they be found on my phone. Any ideas on how to transfer back to my phone or find them???

Are the tones in a different folder than what iTunes recall? If so, try to manually manage the content. Follow the instructions via the following link.

Actually iTunes HAS copied them to my phone, but not as Ringtones, just as plain music files. So how can I get iTunes to treat them as Ringtones again?
