Why does yahoo mail take up so much space and how can I reduce it? Aren't the emails on yahoo, not my iPad. Also, why does Drudge Report app take 985 MLB. Can I reduce this?

You can compress or import them to a cloud storage.

Most of the time it is cached items for the app that are taking up all the space. Facebook is notorious for that. If you remove the app then re-install it then the size should go down. As for the mail app, check the setting for the app to see how much mail is being saved on the phone. If you can change it to a month or less your data storage for mail should reduce.

Delete emails with photos, images and videos. Those take the most space. The same for text messages. Be sure you delete the photos in the deleted photos album.
