I have an iPhone and took some photos which I deleted ages ago, however ..how do I get rid of them once and for all?

I have an iphone and took some photos which I deleted ages ago, however ...

these photos do not appear in the photo section of my phone, nor the recently deleted. But if I 'tweet' a photo and am searching through my photos to attach something, these very private photos reappear - how do I get ride of them once and for all from my iphone please??

Welcome to iMore, it sounds like they might still be in your iCloud, have you tried deleting them from iCloud?
