I don't have the option of putting a sleeping timer in mac macbook.
It's blocked. I can put a startup timer though.

Did you try to check the box to the left of the Sleep pull down? Mine is greyed out as well, but if I click the box I can set as normal.

On my iMac, once I put a check in the box on the appropriate line I can set a start up or a shutdown as I like.

You should be able to select the shutdown timer. Mine is also grayed out but I can still select it:
