I have my iPhone connected to my Macbook Air and I believe I am on wi-fi as I am sending this message to you. I have tapped "Back up now " and nothing has happened and the date for back up has not changed from 11-14 14.
Please advise.

Do the following:

1. Reboot your iPhone
2. Make sure your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi.
3. Go to the iCloud settings and select Backup Now like you did above.

If it still won't backup, sign out of iCloud and then sign back in, and then try again.

If that doesn't work, go to Settings - General - Reset and then select "Reset Network Settings". Afterwards, try your iCloud backup again.
