I am selling my IPHONE 6 plus and a potential buyer wants the Serial Number to check for any recalls. Should I give it to him?

Serial Number? No. He can get it when he buys it.

I don't know if the buyer wants serial No. or IMEI. Either way, s'/he wants to check if the phone is legitimately yours, and not stolen or disabled etc. S/he can check it with either one of these numbers before cash changes hands.
