After more than 15 years covering everything Apple, it’s with a heavy heart we announce that we will no longer be publishing new content on iMore and the iMore forums will be closing as of November 1st, 2024.
To those of you who are in the path of or will be indirectly impacted by the approaching Hurricane Helene please do everything possible to keep yourself and your loved ones safe.
I remember you are down there. Are you?
Yes ma’am. I am. Right dab in the middle of the state…
Right now we’re just getting rain from the outer bands, and we know it’ll intensify later this afternoon and evening. I’m not worried about the rain. I’m more concerned about tornadoes popping up due to how fast the outer bands are spinning.
Well get through it. I have faith.
Ok but you won’t get the brunt like Tally? I’m in NC but inland can be dicey sometimes. It’s coming into our mtns this time since it’s coming from the Gulf.
That’s the key! I pray for your safety and the safety of all in her path.

Such natural disasters are happening more often all over the World. We must make a joint effort to stop global warming in order to reduce the number of such natural disasters.
There's been hurricanes for years and years, going back 100+ years since being recorded. Not sure what you think can be done to reduce them.
Exactly! We have another one heading our way and predictions have it coming straight over us here in central Florida, but we’ll be okay.
I saw that. And it's reached Cat 1 strength. Not sure I'd want to be on the gulf coast between Tampa and Ft Myers. But you'll be fine where you are. Be prepared in case of power outage.
We’ve had a few come across the state and directly over Orlando over the years. Sometimes, we lost power and other times we didn’t. In addition, I don’t recall ever being without power for more than two days in areas I’ve lived and hopefully, this time will not be any different. Well see.
We lose power here with a 20 mph gust. LOL
There’s another hurricane,
Stay safe everyone.
