How to use the invert color to affect only the Interface not everything, like pictures, icons, etc.?

I use the invert color but everything is affected. Should it not supposed to be the Interface only? Am unsing iPhone 6 on IOS 8.3. any suggestions?

It's for reading. It does make images look weird. But it does work well for just reading. You can't change it.

If you tap the screen twice with 3 fingers, you get this menu:

Tap "Choose Filter" and get these options for darker screen use.

I haven't been able to find a complete solution. The best I could find is to quickly switch on or off the invert colors settings by triple tapping the home button. Triple tapping is a harder gesture, but it's the best Apple could come up with. :( To set the shortcut go to Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Accessibility Shortcut.

You can get all those options by triple tapping the screen with 3 fingers. Choose filters.
You can also keep the controller on your screen or hide it.
