how to update calander app on my iphone 4

I'm trying to up date my calendar. At first it said I didn't have enough space so I deleted some things. I don't get that message but the update button isn't lite up for me to push. What am I doing wrong?

What do you mean "update your calendar"? Updating how? Updating as in adding an event? Updating as in installing a newer version of a 3rd-party calendar app or what?
