It's not a video, but a full-on 12-megapixel photo that animates for up to 3 seconds when you press on it with 3D Touch. The idea of moving pictures isn't new. Any Harry Potter fan will tell you that. But it's never been made mainstream before. Apple's hoping to change that and bring a little magic to us all.
