How to see more of a text on the lock screen?

I was told that on the iPhone, one could change the number of lines shown from a text message on the lock screen. Is this possible? I’ve searched all of the settings I can think of and either I’m over looking something or it doesn’t exist.

I can’t think of where that would be. You can definitely change whether or not you can see a preview of incoming messages on your lockscreen though. It’s in Settings > Notifications > Messages. As far as customizing how many lines...I don’t think so.

I don't think there is any setting for imessage or whatsapp but for mail you can choose how many lines will be display in the preview (max upto 5 lines). Go to settings -> mail -> preview. I hope this is what u were looking for.
