I have zero issues with mine. It’s as simple as moving the valve to venting, and being patient until the pin drops.
Just be careful where your fingers are, the steam is obviously hot.
I love my instant pot. It makes being a bachelor and having to cook for myself, so much easier after a long day. And it makes very tasty meals, most within 30 minutes time.
