Restart or reset? To "restart" it, turn it off and then turn it back on. To reset it, go to Settings ->General -> Reset and then select "Erase All Contents and Settings" if you have an iPod Touch. Alternatively, you can connect it to your computer, initiate the computer's iTunes app and after it is detected, select "Restore".
