Did u do a backup before restoring? If so, then restore from backup and they'll be there. Were they backed up in iCloud? Was photo stream turned on? Many options to get them back

I am having a similar problem i have updated to ios7 and i have lost all my photo. I have just come back from holiday in florida and i have lost all my pictures. I have not got a back up since i got home and i now have no holiday pics. Is there a way to find them or are they gone forever?

If you updated OTA (over-the-air), I highly doubt your photos were deleted, but I digress. Having said that, if you didn't take the time to back them up to iCloud or iTunes or upload them to a cloud storage site like SkyDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etcetera, consider your photos lost.
