How to preserve iOS auto-correct dictionary?

I save a lot of custom words in iOS mostly from my native language (typed in English/Roman script). For some weird reason iOS resets my keyboard autocorrect dictioanary every few months (or i lose it when i upgrade the phone). Is there a way to back it up?

Backing up your device to either the iCloud or iTunes, should save you dictionary. I’ve never had any issues with my dictionary resetting & I have my device set to backup automatically. Hope this helps!!
