So my 2012 model 13" 2.7 i7 w/ 1Tb HHDD and 8Gb RAM had a little accident with a leaking water bottle while traveling a couple weeks ago. Long story short, water + logic board = RIP Macbook
Luckily I had it all backed up on my Time Capsule at home just before I left. I'm looking into getting a 2015 Certified Preowned 13" 2.7Ghz i5 w/ 128Gb SSD and 8Gb RAM to replace it.
My concern is this: I have close to 700Gb backed up on my Time Capsule including years of photos and about 150Gb of music alone. What is the best way to manage storage and retrieving files, looking for photos, music, etc when everything is backed up on the Time Capsule? Can you just point your photo library to retrieve the photos from the Time Capsule directly? Can you do the same for your iTunes library?
I can't imagine only have 128Gb of storage on my computer...I have more than that on my iPhone now...
Any help or wisdom would be greatly appreciated so I can try and justify pulling the trigger on this!
Thanks!
