How to delete folders from the homepage?

Three folders are on my homepage, associated with bookmarks/ history etc. I would either like to delete them or store them in my bookmarks. Please can anyone help?

Delete the items from the folder and the folder itself will disappear when it is empty.

Press on each bookmarklet and drag it off the folder. If you want to change them to bookmarks in Safari, then just tap the x in the corner and delete. But tap on to them first and make the bookmarks, then delete the bookmarklets.
