How to control Sonos from your Apple Watch!

I do a lot of puttering around the house, that, and working out on my treadmill (I love to run). I also have Sonos sprinkled throughout the house, so it's natural for me to want to control the music via my Apple Watch... right? I mean, it would be so much easier than finding or pulling my phone out of my pocket :)

First off I looked around the App Store for an official Sonos app compatible with Apple Watch. No dice (yet, hopefully one is coming!). However, after some more searching I uncovered ZonePlay, a great little app that YES, is compatible with Apple Watch, and YES controls your Sonos system!

To be clear, it's still early days for me with this app, but so far, I love it. You can see each room (er, speaker) on your watch, and from there you can tap to pause, play, ff, etc... you can even adjust the volume by sliding a finger left to right on the screen. It also ties into your network music library and TuneIn Radio should you use it (I do from time to time).

The app is $5.49 USD, but at the time of writing this it looks to be over 50% off. Very much worth a look if you've ever wanted to control your Sonos system from your Apple Watch!

P.S. If you try it, let me know what you think!

Of course, now that I purchased the app I see there's a 'now playing' app that works with Sonos (at least it did earlier tonight!). Why didn't anyone tell me about this!? :)
