How do you pronounce it?

With email and iMessage (and some text messages), you can send read receipts.

But how do you pronounce "read"? And why?

Would love to hear everyone's opinion on this.

I take it as red, as in past tense.

I agree. "red". otherwise it would be an order, and I'm not good at taking orders, sorta like, " you MUST read this!".

"Red," for sure. That's how everyone at work pronounces it, too.

I agree with everyone so far ...the past tense is how I pronounce it “red”.
