How do you get into your iphone 6 plus if you forgot the passcode without factory resetting?

I got my phone taken away for a few months and whenever I turned it back on I couldn't remember my passcode to get into my phone. I don't want to have to reset my whole entire phone. Is there anyway that I can get into my phone without that passcode lock?

Sorry to hear you're having troubles with your passcode.

Unfortunately the only way to recover it is to erase it (I had to do this with my son's iPad, but we were able to restore to a recent backup). Here's an article on how to get your phone back to working order.
