How do you delete a picture from camera roll but not from separate folder

I can move pictures from camera roll to separate folder but want to delete from roll but not folder how do I keep in folder if I delete from the roll

Welcome to iMore! You can't. Why not leave them on the camera roll? It doesn't take more space. You can use cloud based apps like Box and Dropbox. Upload photos, then delete from the camera roll. Or if you want them local on the phone, use an app like my pics.
