How do you close pages without just using this Center go button?

Unless there's an option within the app to close it, you will have to use the home button.

If you are using an iPad, I believe you can do a 3 or 4 finger swipe up to access multitasking.

Double click home button and swipe the app you want fully closed up till it disappears.
