How do you block a number on iPhone 2?

On iPhone 2, how do you block a number? Instructions for later models do not work.

What do you mean by iPhone 2? I never heard of that model. Do you mean the first generation iPhone 2G? OR do you mean it's successor the 2nd gen iPhone 3G?

I think you can't on older iPhones the ability to block numbers has appeared with ios 7!
