How do I view my photos in full screen with a black background

When I currently view my photos i full screen they are displayed on a white background and I cant figure out how to change it to black like in slideshow mode

I'm not sure there's a way to do that, unless you use a 3rd party app that supports it to view your images.

The only photos on my 6s Plus that show either color are png images. They look white on the camera roll, then white when highlighted. Tap it and it changes to black.
