AirDrop is new to iOS 7 and is a quick way to send other iOS 7 enabled devices pictures as well as files without using Data or cellular minutes you have on your carrier

It all works via Bluetooth which you need to have enabled on your device to access Airdrop

How to Guide is as follows

Swipe up from bottom of screen to access the Control Panel toggle on the Bluetooth and you will see Airdrop if your running an iPhone 4S or higher with iOS 7 installed on your device

Yes it's a novelty for me but it works as advertised has a short range to it but a lot better than bumping phones I guess

Tap to share on webOS was a major feature that never really came to be but I'm hoping Apple will add something fresh to Airdrop in iOS8

If it worked all the time a with a bit less hassle it would be great. I'm always sharing pics with the wife and kids sitting on the couch while watching TV lol.

AirDrop is only supported on the iPhone 5 & up, iPad 4 & up, iPad mini & up, 5th gen iPod touch. The iPhone 4S does not support AirDrop.
