How do I turn the "list toggle" off on my iPhone calendar ap?

My daily calendar scrolls down beneath the monthly calendar; I just want to see my daily calendar on a selected day.

Toggle off the list mode icon at the top and then tap on "Today" at the bottom left corner of the screen.
