Just spent 45 min on the phone with apple support. They said it was impossible for a parent with an android phone to buy a family subscription and set up family sharing and share itunes with kids who have iPhones. When you send the invitation it works, but when the child tries to accept it says "Can't connect at this time." Its said that for a month. The child has the same apple id for itunes and icloud. We logged out and logged in. Same result. If the system is built this way, then there should be a disclaimer in the android app. No android haters please. My work requires an android. I'm just trying to get it to work.

If you use an Android, why would you need Family Sharing? Just set up the child's iPhone with whatever you allow it to have. You can set restrictions in Settings.
