How do I set up iCloud albums when I have multiple devices

I am an avid ametuer photographer. I didn't initially want every picture I took to pop up on each device. But now with having 2TB of iCloud space, why not. Here is my delimma: I have the iPhone 7, iPad Air, iPad Pro and 2 iMacs. I am afraid if I begin the process of moving all 9,000 photos from my iPhone to iCloud sharing that these photos will override and remove the photos from my other devices. How can I prevent this? I do want to get all pictures from all devices in to one place, in albums and of course that place being iCloud. I would very much appreciate any suggestions or advice. Thank you!

They shouldn't override anything. If each device is configured with the same Apple ID, ALL OF YOUR PHOTOS should sync across all of your devices. To be on the safe side, in case I'm misunderstanding your post, copy your pics to an pen drive or a newly created folder on one of your iMacs.
