How do I send a file or folder from my PC to iCloud

I want to send a folder of files from my PC laptop to iCloud so I can read them on my iPad.

Where do you plan to view those files on the iPad? I would upload them to Box or Dropbox. Then view them in the App on the iPad.

If it is not too big of a file you could also email it to yourself to an email on your iPad and then open it in Dropbox if you have it. Basically the same way as already given.
