How do I remove the display picture on messages?

On my iphone6plus messages it shows that the letters of the person I'm texting and I want to be able to remove that so it doesn't show any photo at all. Please help?

Is it not only contacts that it shows a photo? Why not remove the photo on their contact info?

It's not a photo, it's the initials of the sender if there's no photo available for that person.
