I've seen other articles saying there is no reason why Apple can't allow this, because its pairs the same way over Bluetooth and/or Wi-Fi.... but the interface is designed for iPhone only, but that can easily be for iPad.. Allot of Apple's apps are.. and universal apps..

since the iPad is bigger there would even be a stronger reason, since you could you the watch as a remote for the iPad
