how do i open my phone to take battery out

I want to switch off my phone and cannot do it the normal way, so removing battery for a minute should do it, how do I remove the battery

You can't do that on an iPhone,since the battery is internal, unlike removable batteries. Hold the power button down continuously till "slide to power off" message flashes. Then leave the button and slide to turn it off.

Why would you want to switch off your iPhone? Is it not working correctly? I never turn off my iPhone unless it's misbehaving. Otherwise do as @ritesh suggest.

If you have button problems, you can turn it off in Settings > General >Accessibility >Assistive Touch.
